Privacy Policy

What we collect on this site, why, who else sees it, and how to have it corrected or deleted. Last updated 2026-10-18.

Who we are

This website, optimoweb.net, is operated by OptimoWeb LLC ("OptimoWeb", "we", "us"). For anything in this policy, write to [email protected].

What we collect, and why

When you use the contact form

The form asks for your name, your email address, and a message. We use them only to answer you and, if you choose to work with us, to scope and run your project. The form is delivered as an email to our own mail server; we do not sell it, rent it, or add you to a marketing list without your separate consent.

When you pay an invoice

The payments page uses PayPal's checkout. Card and bank details are entered into PayPal's own secure window and are processed by PayPal under PayPal's privacy statement; they never reach our servers. We receive the payment confirmation, the amount, the reference you typed, and the payer name and email PayPal shares with merchants.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful and how visitors find us. It sets first-party cookies and records information such as pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and the referring site. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not combine it with the details you send through the contact form. You can opt out with your browser's privacy settings or Google's opt-out add-on.

Security and delivery logs

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request details to protect the site against attacks and to deliver it quickly. Our servers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies

The site itself sets no login, tracking, or advertising cookies. The only cookies are the Google Analytics cookies described above and any security cookies Cloudflare sets to tell people from bots. Blocking cookies in your browser does not stop the site from working.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers that make the site work, each for the purpose described above: Cloudflare (delivery and security), Google (analytics), and PayPal (payments). We do not sell personal data and do not share it for third-party advertising. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Contact-form messages and the email thread that follows are kept for as long as needed to answer you and, for clients, for the life of the business relationship plus the period tax and accounting rules require. Google Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Analytics account, never more than 14 months. Server logs are rotated within weeks.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for a given purpose. Residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, California, and Colombia (Ley 1581 de 2012) have these rights by law. Email [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is you before acting on a request.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only, runs on infrastructure we operate ourselves, and stores no payment data. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there is little to expose.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
